Results

If you need to find out your results at the Main Surgery then please phone 520022 and book a telephone appointment with the doctor who requested the investigation. The doctor will then phone you back at the agreed time. Please note that the Practice is unable to phone Mobile phone numbers to give results.

Most blood tests and urine tests will be ready after 2 days.

Some tests such as thyroid tests will not be ready for about a week.

Some hormone tests and clotting studies may not be ready for a month.

Most x-ray and ultrasound results are available 10 working days after the test is performed.

ANTENATAL

Monday 1.30 - 3.30pm with midwife

General Surgeries  with General Practitioners
 

WELL BABY CLINICS & CHILDHOOD SURVEILLANCE

Wednesday 2.00 - 3.30pm with a health visitor.
You are asked not to bring children who are ill to these clinics.

FAMILY PLANNING AND CERVICAL SMEARS

All doctors provide routine contraception during surgery. Dr Philpot and Dr Basker are also qualified to fit intra-uterine contraceptive devices (coils).

MINOR SURGERY

Drs Philpot, Timlin, Hollands and Jackson undertake minor operations at the surgery.

An appointment can be made at special times after the condition has been discussed with a doctor.

ASTHMA

If you have Asthma you will occasionally be invited for an Asthma review.

HEALTHY HEART CLINIC

Thursday 2.00 - 3.30pm

Dr Jackson  runs a heart disease clinic with Sister Fran Knight for those with an increased risk of heart disease or for those who have had heart disease. Patients are invited to this clinic.

DIABETIC CLINIC

Dr Jackson and Sister Liz Bennett run the Diabetic Clinic.

All non-insulin diabetics are invited to the Diabetic Clinic at the beginning of July/August. In addition non-insulin diabetics who are not under hospital care are invited in January to see a practice diabetic nurse for a second review.

SMOKING

To access this service you will need to make an appointment with a practice nurse.

DISABLED ACCESS

The Surgery has a disabled access.
